Job Description:  Local and Line Haul auto transporter positions available.  Must have a Class "A" CDL, current medical

 

 

certificate, and a good driving record.  Must have 3 years driving experience and demonstrate the ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely.  Work is required on elevated ramps.  Will load and unload vehicles, secure vehicles to an auto carrier trailer, perform delivery, inspection, and documentation.  Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.  Prior auto hauling experience would be a plus.
 

 

 

 Salary Range: Pay is $15.00 - $19.00 per hour to start DOE Line Haul pays $.53 per mile.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Drives a commercial motor vehicle as defined in 49 CFR Part 382.107, with a gross combination weight rating of 26,001 or more pounds inclusive of a towed unit with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 10,000 pounds, or is of any size and is used in the transportation of materials found to be hazardous for the purposes of the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act, and which require the motor vehicle to be placarded under the Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR Part 172, Subpart F). Employees are accountable to management and each other to ensure every task is done safely in accordance with Management Systems or business unit procedures with the objective of continuously improving our processes. Works outside with exposure to high noise levels, dust, dirt, traffic hazards, and to hazardous equipment and materials.  Ability to bend, reach, lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally. Ability to  stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb.  Ability to sit for extended periods while driving. Must comply with all work rules including those that pertain to safety and health.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: High School or GED. Minimum two years experience operating tractor-trailer equipment.  Must possess a B/CDL with the following endorsement:  X - Tank/Hazardous Materials, and meet the current driver qualifications as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.  Also required:  A current medical certificate, DMV driving record and successful completion of the Company DOT driving test.  Any serious moving violations such as reckless driving, DUI’s, hit & run, failure to report an accident or leaving the scene of an accident, and excessive speeding for at least the last three years is prohibited.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and guides the strategic direction of sales, marketing, trucking, dispatch, and terminal operations for a business unit with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability as well as day-to-day leadership and management in Alaska. Manages division operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies.   Implements programs and processes to ensure attainment of business plan for growth, profit, and workflow optimization.  Develops and creates strategies and policies aligned with company goals.   Provides mentoring and guidance to employees.   Responsible for overall management to achieve customer satisfaction.  Oversees development of policies and procedures.  Reviews operating results to ensure budgeted goals are achieved and expenses controlled.  Establishes annual revenue, capital and cost budgets.  Has profit and loss responsibility.  Maximize efficiencies while ensuring that cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.  Assess equipment needs, maintenance operations, and completion of capital requirements, planning and administration, safety, and cost management.  Remain current on industry trends and provide strategic recommendations to management.  May coordinate and negotiate outside contractor and service provider alliances/agreements; may operate in multiple locations; and may interface/coordinate with other company functions such a legal, labor relations, risk management, marine operations, cross functional teams etc.  Develops and maintains business relations with customer base.  Maintains awareness of the competitive landscape, growth opportunities, and new industry developments and standards.  Ensures the principles of health, safety, and environment are practiced and address shortcomings.

 Revenue responsibility is generally less than $50,000,000

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in business or transportation.  MBA a plus.Minimum 10 years business management experience preferably in the petroleum terminal or transporation industry.  Excellent analytical, strategic, communication, presentation, and personnel management skills.  Familiar with transportation concepts, practices, and procedures.  Ability to motivate and maintain excellent working relationships with staff and contractors.  Experienced in fleet maintenance and petroleum terminal operations.  Ability to successfully implement safety, security, and environment programs within a structure compliance program.  Ability to establish credibility and be decisive but able to recognize and support the company’s preferences and priorities.  Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.  Must possess skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives.  Requires the ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.
