Professional Truck Driving Instructor (Palmer)
NIT is currently seeking a Truck Driving Instructor. This is a minimum of a 40 hour per week position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 5 years experience and Journeyman level skill.
Have held an Alaska Class A CDL for a minimum of two years.
Superior Communication Skills.
Professional attitude and demeanor.
Maintain clean work area and be accountable for company & personal tools used in performance of duties.
Complete required reports.
Must be able to work and communicate with other members of the team.
Must be willing to comply with all company policies and procedures, especially with regard to safety.
Must have a HS diploma or GED
Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must be able to pass a background check.

Job Information:
Primary Function: Service light truck, medium truck, and industrial earthmover tires.
Be responsible for all aspects of tire and related service and repair on vehicles and equipment to include Loaders, Articulated End Dump etc.
Description:
Diagnosis and repairs of the fleet for tires, wheels, and rims.
Completion of all necessary Tire Department tags and work orders.
Moving of equipment in/out of the Tire Shop and around the yard.
Moving and sorting of tires for inventory and inspection purposes.
Loading and unloading of tires for shipping and receiving.
Maintains a clean and safe work area.
Skills:
Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills; ability to read and understand repair manuals, understanding and ability to complete/fill tags and repair orders; computer keyboarding; ability to lift/move tractor/trailer tires as needed (100+ lbs).
· Excellent safety and attendance performance is expected.
· Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
· Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
· Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions.
· Must possess a mechanical aptitude.
· At least 6 months of relevant service experience is preferred.
· Good oral and written communication ability.
· Must be able to pass a background check including employment history, SSN verification, criminal history, etc.
· Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug test to include hair-based.
· Must have a valid minimum commercial driver’s license (Class B) for the type of vehicle required for the position and be able to meet commercial driver qualification requirements, including be at least 21 years of age.
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED or graduation from an accredited technical school with a certificate in a tire related field (TIA certified). Obtainment of a certificate from an accredited school may substitute the required six (6) months of experience.
Tools: Candidate must have their own hand tools including tire gauges, valve stem tools., ½ inch and ¾ inch drive sockets and air wrenches, tire buffers, etc.

Job Description: Local and Line Haul auto transporter positions available. Must have a Class "A" CDL, current medical
certificate, and a good driving record. Must have 3 years driving experience and demonstrate the ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely. Work is required on elevated ramps. Will load and unload vehicles, secure vehicles to an auto carrier trailer, perform delivery, inspection, and documentation. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Prior auto hauling experience would be a plus.
Salary Range: Pay is $15.00 - $19.00 per hour to start DOE Line Haul pays $.53 per mile.

Dispatcher - Fuel Truck
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Schedules and assigns drivers for fuel deliveries, both local and line drivers. Establishes delivery routes, records times of departure, arrivals, type of fuel loaded and/or delivered. Communicates with drivers and customers via phone and radio.
Employees are accountable to management and each other to ensure every task is done safely in accordance with Management Systems or business unit procedures with the objective of continuously improving our processes.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Two to three years’ related experience. Knowledge of fuel products and Alaskan geography preferred. Basic PC skills. B-CDL required.
All Crowley positions require proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Some positions may also include proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
High School or GED.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Primarily an office environment, but depending on company requirements, may spend extended periods outside office at operational facilities. When working outside, may work in extreme temperature conditions. Must comply with all work rules, including those pertaining to safety and health.

Job Title: Truck Driver, Class A CDL
Drives a commercial motor vehicle as defined in 49 CFR Part 382.107, with a gross combination weight rating of 26,001 or more pounds inclusive of a towed unit with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 10,000 pounds, or is of any size and is used in the transportation of materials found to be hazardous for the purposes of the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act, and which require the motor vehicle to be placarded under the Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR Part 172, Subpart F). Works outside with exposure to high noise levels, dust, dirt, traffic hazards, and to hazardous equipment and materials. Ability to bend, reach, lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally. Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb. Ability to sit for extended periods while driving. Must comply with all work rules including those that pertain to safety and health.
Type of Operation: Interstate trucking and local delivery utilizing van, flatbed, containers and refrigerated trailer unit.
Minimum Qualifications: To join us you must be 21 years old, have the ability to read/write and speak the English language, pass a DOT drug test, submit a qualifying Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), pass a background check and posses a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with the TX endorsements.
