CSA 2010 Raw Data Now Available Online
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is allowing carriers to check their CSA 2010 raw data online.
Carriers can now view their data by visiting the CSA 2010 Portal and logging in using their DOT number and carrier PIN. Carriers that have lost or forgotten their PIN should visit FMCSA’s Lost PIN page to request a new PIN that will be sent via U.S. Mail.
Information that can be accessed is limited to raw data. Carriers’ scores (percentile rankings in each BASIC) will not be available until late summer 2010.
Access to each carrier’s data will be kept private until Nov. 20 when the scores will be made visible to the public. This private data preview period will provide time for the motor carriers to review their data and challenge erroneous reports by using the DataQs system.

Answer:

*All carriers and drivers will be assessed under the same criteria and given appropriate safety scores

*Intrastate carriers are not currently subject to Interventions with any State of Alaska penalty.

*Not until legislation is in place will Alaska be able to have any meaningful interventions with carriers requiring it.

*Interstate carriers placed Out-of-Service by FMCSA cannot operate in intrastate commerce.

*Intrastate carriers are not generally subject to the Federal Out-of-Service orders, however all carriers are subject to drug and alcohol program and CDL requirements. Examples are:  Carriers that violate the requirements contained in the drug and alcohol program or CDL are subject to a Federal action including being placed Out-of-Service.
