Supporting, mentoring, and empowering the women who keep Alaska’s trucking industry moving.

The Alaska Trucking Association is proud to launch the Women in Motion (WIM) Alaska Chapter — a new network created to connect women across Alaska’s trucking industry through leadership development, mentorship, community, and industry engagement. WIM is an official council of the American Trucking Associations and one of its fastest-growing programs. The Alaska Chapter brings that momentum home, building a community shaped by Alaska’s workforce, geography, and industry needs.

What is Women in Motion Alaska?

Women in Motion Alaska is a statewide network designed to elevate and support women working in trucking and transportation. Whether you are already in the industry or interested in becoming involved, WIM Alaska offers opportunities to build relationships, grow professionally, and strengthen your voice within Alaska’s trucking community. • Kick off the year with a networking reception to welcome members, introduce WIM leadership, and share the chapter’s mission, goals, and upcoming opportunities.

  • Facilitated small-group discussions focused on leadership in transportation, including topics like career advancement, rural Alaska operations, and leadership in male-dominated industries.

  • Facility or terminal tours hosted by ATA member companies, with presentations, guided tours, and networking opportunities. Possible hosts may include Span Alaska, Lynden, and Carlile Transportation Systems.
